For several years we have successfully implemented our innovative ideas into the food sector. Due to our long-standing experience, we developed a special, separate production line for edible gold leaf and silver, in which all operating materials comply with foodstuffs directives. For example, lubricants have been replaced by food oils.
Generally gold leaf from 22 carat is suitable for human consumption (food colouring # E 175). Our edible gold leaf 22 and 23 carat is been tested and certified by the Landesgewerbeanstalt Nuremberg (LGA-TUV-Rheinland). Edible gold leaf (food colouring # E175) and edible silver leaf (food colouring # E174), is a restricted additive for chocolates, liqueurs, confectionery and pastries in Germany.
Edible gold leaf and silver leaf in powder and flakes can also be used for decoration and consumption for the above purpose. All products “edible gold leaf” and “edible silver leaf” are manufactured in our gold leaf factory, while adhering to the highest quality standards. This is documented and certified, amongst others, by the LGA Nuremberg.
